Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Not all National Trust properties are open yet, and those that are require pre-booking via their website, no later than 15:00 on the day prior to visit.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Berrington Hall

There's more to see at Berrington Hall, so whether you are a first time visitor or have been before, plan a visit soon.
The hall is one of the few masterpieces of the famous architect Henry Holland to survive intact. As well as exploring the family rooms and walking in the servants' footsteps, you can now view a varied collection of Georgian costumes shown throughout the year, including examples from the BBC's Pride and Prejudice. To coincide with these exhibitions the house is now open from 11am each day.
Afterwards don't miss taking a walk through one of ‘Capability' Brown's final landscapes on one of our three way-marked estate walks and relax by the lake or in the gardens.
To make the most of your day join one of the introductory talks for a light-hearted and brief history of the house and the families who have made it their home.
Younger visitors have their own trail around the house and can run off some energy in the park or have a go at building their own den in our woodland play area.
Even when it's wet… The house is full of stories and plenty to see below stairs. Visit the Servants' Hall Tea-room and enjoy simple, home-cooked seasonal food made using fresh produce from our walled garden.
Created as the perfect house in the perfect setting, Berrington has many secrets to uncover.
